Lee Gilburt has been drumming since he was a young lad, developing his skills with a deep love for the craft and a passion for some of the greatest drummers in rock history. His drumming heroes include Mitch Mitchell, Abe Cunningham, Nicko McBrain, Chad Smith, and above all, Nick Mason of Pink Floyd. Lee’s dedication to capturing the essence of Mason’s drumming is unmatched, and his ability to perform Mason’s parts with incredible accuracy has made him an essential part of Pinked Floyd’s rhythmic foundation.
Throughout his career, Lee has played in a wide range of original and covers bands, performing across many of Manchester and the North West’s most iconic venues—along with a few less glamorous spots! His experience performing in diverse settings has sharpened his skills and made him a versatile drummer with a dynamic style. However, it’s his love for Pink Floyd’s music, and Nick Mason’s drumming in particular, that truly drives him.
For Lee, playing in Pinked Floyd is a labor of love. His meticulous attention to detail and respect for the original recordings allow him to bring Nick Mason’s signature style to life, ensuring the band’s performances are as authentic as they are powerful.
